We had a BABY!!! HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO DO WHILE I AM OUT>

Introducing HUDSON DEAN  (sorry if you were rooting for Wesley). I am guessing that you know what my 30 photos are going to be of.

Here is what I need you to do while I am out this week changing poopy diapers:

1. Finish up your icons from before break:

  • Make icons using adobe illustrator (we started this before break)
  • Place your photographs that you edited from the abstract photo shoot we did back in March into your new illustrator document.
  • Add your icons on photographs to the slide in your VAT Portfolio.
  • Your slide may look like this when you are done:

2. Get credit for the 30 photographs that you took over the break:
  •  Take a screenshot of your camera roll on your phone.
  • Get the screenshot into your VAT portfolio in the slide called photography 102.
  • your slide may look like this when your done.

3. Edit 3 of your photographs:
  • Use Photoshop to enhance 3 of your photographs in some way.
  • Post your 3 edited photos next to the 3 originals in your portfolio on the slide called photography 102.
  • Your portfolio slide may look like this:

4. Are you done with your Icons and Photo editing already? Nicely done. You can start to make your own custom logos now...

1. Check out this presentation first and check these out for inspiration: 123 beautiful personal logos

2. Requirements for the personal logo challenge:
  • Must show shapes and type skills learned in class.
  • Use C.A.R.P. to make 30ish rough logos for yourself.
  • Can include your initials, symbols or your name.
  • Must connect to your personality or your interests
Example Below:

4. Add all work to your portfolio when you are done.

Here are some videos that I think will be helpful...

I do not know how program or code.  At all.  But, the good thing is that code.org and sphero and other coding groups know this.  They have your back.  They have created lesson walkthroughs for the teacher, or you can just show the tutorials to the students and have them follow along.  I relied on that and the fearlessness of my students.  We had a blast as learners together. Ok.  I am sure you know about the Hour of Code.  And I am sure some of you are on the bandwagon. But, I have an idea that some of you hear it and think--not one more thing.   I can't do one more thing. And I hear that.  I am a classroom teacher, but I promise once you try it, it will remind you why you beca...
